Areas of practice and special proceedings

Litigating is our profession and our passion. Our expertise is not limited to a single practice area. Top litigators should be all-rounders. Our expertise is concentrated in the areas of corporate and financial dispute resolution, mainly representing financial institutions as well as high net worth individuals and their companies.

We represent clients at the trial court and appeal court level, as well as in the Enterprise Chamber (corporate investigation proceedings), before ‘Kifid’ (the Dutch financial services complaints commission), in arbitrations and with the Financial Markets Authority (‘AFM’; proceedings concerning administrative fines and penalty payments in relation to violations of the Financial Supervision Act).

Mr. Hoff acts as representative of activist shareholders at general shareholders meetings on a regular basis. Mr. Cornegoor often litigates at the islands of the Dutch West Indies. As an MfN registered mediator, Mrs. Hoogstraate guides parties trying – with or without a push from the judge – to find by themselves a solution to their (business) conflict acceptable for each of them.
